Wow this article was a roller coaster of emotions.
Option one (Jorge Posada playing for the Tampa Bay Rays) left me feeling absolute horror, it hurt to even imagine it.
Option two (One last chance with the Yankees) gave me
falsehope, an idealistic idea of the immediate future.Options three and four (Coaching in the minors and coaching in the majors, respectively) left me imagining about what could be, and how fantastic things could be for the future.
Option five, (retirement) like most things with Georgie these days, left me heartbroken and crying once again. This is going to be so hard.
The last lines of the article are what really really kill me:
It’s sad to see a player leave, especially one who’s been with the team for so long. The best any fan can do is wish him the best of luck and thank him.
So Mr. Posada, should you choose to leave, thanks.
Here’s to your career and your future.
